TOMATO - Golden Sunrise - 40 seeds

Golden Sunrise' produces golden yellow tomatoes which add colour to a salad. It is a cordon variety suitable for growing in the greenhouse and the medium-sized tomatoes have a sweet, fruity flavour. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
  • Cordon (Indeterminate). Medium sized, early, smooth, well shaped, golden yellow tomatoes, with a sweet fruity flavour.
  • Sow in late winter for heated greenhouse cultivation or early spring for the cold greenhouse. Sow 6mm (¼in) deep in a good compost. Germination usually takes 6-14 days at 24C (75F).
  • Feed regularly once the first truss has set. Stake side shoots regularly and pinch out the growing point after 4 trusses have set.
  • Grow in Full sun , Hardiness: Half Hardy , Soil type: Well-drained/light, Clay/heavy, Moist , Height: 60cm , Spread: 150cm
Water deeply and regularly while the plants are developing. Irregular watering, (missing a week and trying to make up for it), leads to blossom end rot and cracking. Once the fruit begins to ripen, lessening the water will coax the plant into concentrating its sugars. Don’t withhold water so much that the plants wilt and become stressed or they will drop their blossoms and possibly their fruit.

If sown in Mid winter harvesting starts around early Summer and If sown from Spring harvesting starts around Late summer
