Perennial . A hardy
climbing shrub, generally flowers the year after sowing. Producing
masses of exotic blooms. Fascinating climber with star-like flowers
Sow in Spring and cover with vermiculite . To improve germination, soak the seed in tepid water for 24 hours.

Temperature is probably the most important factor in germination, ideally at a temperature of 26 degrees C (79F)
When
you come to plant them outside they will need well drained dryish soil
which warms up quickly in spring. They prefer a soil that is on the
sandy side, free draining and not rich. If the soil is too rich and
fertile then it may grow leaves only and no fruits or flowers.
Plant passionflowers in full sun if possible, and make sure the soil is free draining. Passionflower
needs a sheltered sunny spot and is evergreen. It is hardy in milder
areas, otherwise give some winter protection as the roots are prone to
rot if kept cold and wet. Established plants have a better chance of
over wintering than very young ones
